We spent a quiet day at the resort. Given the depth and breadth of our meal last night our breakfast requirements were minimal so we converted our breakfast voucher to a very nice picnic lunch which we took away with us … and which, as it turned out, turned into a very nice dinner as well.
We took the scenic road back to LA along the coast and up Sepulveda Boulevard to the airport and checked into the Hilton. As we prepared for our last night in LA, we reflected on our time on the West Coast. The scenery has been amazing but more importantly the people here have been so friendly to us. Sometimes they were so welcoming it made us wonder if they were sincere, but in the end we agreed that they were just being ‘American’ and that there should be more of their good will in the world.
We wish President H.W. Bush a speedy recovery.
