11/3/13 – MoMA Magic

Peter and I had deliberately not visited MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) as we wanted to explore it with Hans and Sue. As Sue had been a guide for the MoMA Exhibition in Perth last year it was kind of fun to see the work lent to Perth now back in NYC. The Gallery guide gave us a tour through some key works including Cezanne, Picasso, Matisse and Kirchner.
Then were then joined by Miriam and walked the Hi Line. It was a disused elevated rail line that took cattle from the rail yards to the slaughter house and the product was taken a short trip down to the port and the waiting ships. It has been 'renewwed' and is now a planted path with sculptures, living art and street art. Cameron had enjoyed it when he was here and we thought it good and will be even better in the summer - despite the tourists!
Hans and Sue then came over to our flat for a 'pink' Tattinger and then we were off to dinner at Campagnolos. Great day, with great friends.
