26/5/13 – Catching up with the Costa Family and Barry Dry

 
This morning we met our WA friends Robyn and Nick Costa and their daughter Elizabeth at The Sherry Netherlands hotel (where they are staying) and took them out to breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien on 5^th Avenue. On Thursday Elizabeth graduates from Harvard having completed her LLM (Masters in International Environmental Law) and she was clearly thrilled that her parents were able to come over to attend the ceremony. It was good to catch up with them.

But even more fun was to come later in the day when we met up with Barry Dry at the Liberty Bar on 35^th and 6^th for lunch. Despite being still rather ‘tired and emotional’ Barry was, as always, cheerful and brazenly boisterous (in a way that only a Scotch College Old Boy can be) and we had a good chat about the ‘good old days’ and what he had been up to during his time in NYC. Finally, To cap off a perfect day, we then headed off to The Australian (our favourite NYC PUB hangout) to watch all the highlights of this weekend’s Super 15 Rugby!
