We were up early and off to catch the flight from Hilo Hawaii to Honolulu on Oahu (45mins). All went well, pick up our big bags that we had left at the Ohana East Hotel in Waikiki since one is only allowed 20kgs on inter-island flights. Unfortunately I wasn’t allocated a seat on the flight to LA and had to endure a nervous wait before being called up. Worth knowing for next time that American Airlines doesn’t provide food on the 5 hours flight – like being on Jet Star we had to purchase a sandwich which incidentally comes with complimentary packet of chips! No cash credit cards only!
Got in to LAX on time and boarded the courtesy van complete with a kick ass woman driver and LA gangster music for our short trip to the airport Sheraton. Upon arrival at our room – surfed the 300 TV channels and ordered room service. Welcome to LA!! Reporters were now interviewing people who baby sat Adam Lanza when he was little – please USA do something about the unrelenting need of your peoples to be famous by any means possible.
